The diets that I have been on since March 9, 2023 are listed below.
These are presented below in the same order.
Diet Over Period Mar 9 To Aug 16, 2023 - Regular

The diet for this period is shown in Table D1 below. The use of two items warrant an explanation as follows.
1. Use of Glucose instead of Sugar: Sugar (sucrose) is composed of Glucose and Fructose in equal amounts. Glucose requires no metabolic processing and goes directly into the blood. Fructose however is metabolized into Glucose and Acetates. These acetates are precursors to a number of obnoxious substances that end up promoting a number of diseases including heart disease. In fact, some experts believe that our bodies are not designed to handle too much fructose, namely, only the fructose that naturally occurs in fruit and other plant food. For this reason, I used Glucose to avoid the negative consequences of Fructose. For this same reason Sugar has be singled out as a most dangerous item to include in our diets. It is ironic that, even though it is scientifically established that sugar is dangerous for our healt, sugar today is most ubiquitous in all types of food and drink items available in our stores!
2. Garlic: Throughout my life I have found garlic very helpfull to help me recover from scary or stressfull experiences and to reset my whole being into a positive and under-control state... all without any bad side effects. I have learned about garlic from my Mother's second grandfather who was the go to "healer" in the area where I grew up. His name was Zi Rocco Mora. "Zi" is a contraction for "Zio" and was prefixed to his name as a sign of respect. My mother always took us kids to him when we did not feel well. He was held in such a high regard that even our town doctor visited him periodically. Zi Rocco Mora never went to school and could not read or write. Whatever he new was from experiences passed on from generation to generation and from his own experiences. People went to see him for all kinds of health issues such as: If you got scared out of your wits and could not work or sleep anymore, you went to Zi Rocco Mora; If you broke a leg or dislocated a bone,you went to Zi Rocco Mora; If you had diarrhea, intestinal parasites or gastric issues, you went to Zi Rocco Mora. My mother used to recount a story about our town doctor as told by himself. He did a house call for a sick women and almost got strangled by her. He got so scared that he could not function anymore. So he went to see Zi Rocco Mora and was fully recovered by the next day. What was the remedy? Garlic.
Diet Over Period Aug 17, 1923 To Apr 11, 2024-Ketogenic

I used the diet in Table D1 above over the period March 9 to August 16, 2023. This diet along with my Supplements and Exercises , provided a very good level of wellbeing, energy and motivation to undertake, in addition to my work , a number of other projects such as building this website. However, my blood counts from my Blood Tests, although remaining essentially stable, did not meet my expectations of having these counts change to more normal levels.
In the course of my ongoing cancer and nutrition lterature research, I came across the Warburg Effect (8,9,10). In the 1920s to 1950s, Otto Heinrich Warburg, a friend of Einstein, concluded that deprivation of glucose leads to deprivation of the energy that cancer cells need to proliferate and this leads to death of the cancer cells. A ketogenic diet deprives the body of glucose and the normal cells have to switch to obtain their energy from ketones. Cancer cells, however, are not able to get their energy from ketones and, as a result, consistent with the Warburg Effect, cancer cells die. For this research, Warburg received the Nobel prize in medicine in 1931.
This understanding has led several recent cancer reasearchers to investigate the treatment of cancer using a ketogenic diet together with their usual chemotherapy regimen (10,11). In my understanding, this approach approach does not seem to make sense because on one hand it uses diet to marshal our own natural body resources to battle cancer, and on the other hand it is using chemotherapeutic drugs which are know to damage the body own natural resources that enable it to fight-off all kinds of diseases including cancer.
My main motivation for the Ketogenic diet has been my understanding of the Warburg Effect. Based on this understanding, starting on Aug. 17, 2023, I changed my diet to a full ketogenic diet. Over the period Aug 17, 2023 to April 11, 2024, I have avoided eating carbohydrates in my diet to the point that I never have exceeded about 15 grams of carbs on any one day.
How have I being feeling on this diet? I have been feeling somewhat better than before. One interesting observation is that my unwanted extra fat and hanging skin is disappearing fast! For example, my "love handles" are totally gone! Interestingly, my weight has not changed much. So, since I am loosing fat, I must be gaining muscle as a result of my exercises. Also my strength and stamina have increased, and I have added to my exercise program full Pushups, thirty pounds Arm Curls, Chinups, have increased my Supermans to twenty, and have included a 30 minute fast walk (3 miles per hour) . Not bad for an old man! On the down side, my abdominal discomforts that I have been experiencing since I arrived in Canada in 1960, remained and I had to keep relying on the psyllium husk poweder to manage it.
The ketogenic diet that I have been on during period of Aug 17, 2023 to April 11, 2024 is given below in Table D2.
Diet Since April 11, 2024 - Carnivore

My decision to start on a Carnivore diet was mainly motivated by the following:Last Edited : June 2024
1. Since my arrival in Canada from Italy in 1960, I have been experiencing some abdominal discomforts such as a continuos sense of fulness that were mitigated by frequent, and uncomfortable, daily bowel movements (two to three). I never had had these discomforts in Italy but the started shortly after I arrived, even though my diet had remained the same and the food was still being freshely prepared by my mother or sister in our kitchen. The only thing that had changed was that my meals were now being prepared from items from our grocery stores and not from our own fields. After about six years or so, I came across some articles that discussed the intolerance of some people to wheat. Soon after, I experimented avoiding wheat based food, which was very difficult because our diet from Italy is based on daily consumption of pasta, bread, pizza, breaded veal cutlets, and other italian wheat based food. Soon after I eliminated wheat from my diet, my abdominal discomforts became significantly more tolerable, but did not go away completely. I was very surprised at this result because while in Italy, I ate pasta, bread, pizza, and other wheat based food and I always had felt well. I was puzzled, but happy to have found one reason for my discomforts and since the mid 1970s, I have kept wheat products out of my diet. It has been difficult, but the discomforts that I avoid by not eating wheat has kept me strongly motivated. In the mid 1980s I discovered that the daily use of about 5 g of Psyllium powder made the remaining discomforts much more tolerable, and taking Psyllium has been a daily ritual since. This explains why the diets in Tables D1,D2, and D3 contain Psyllium husks, and do not contain any wheat based foods.
2. While on the Ketogenic diet in Table D2, I had noticed that my remaining abdominal discomforts became better if I did not eat some plant based food including some seeds and nuts. Soon I found that in addition to the meats, I was limiting my plant food consumption to only celery, onions, sauerkraut, pine nuts, and peanuts.3. I came across Dr. Anthony Chaffee book "Why We Are Carnivores & How Plants Try To Poison You" (41). Also, by then I had read some articles on how plants grown today are being genetically modified to produce their own pesticides and herbicides ("Plant-Incorporated Protectants" (PIPs) plants). These two facts made me realize why I was Ok in Italy with plant food products but I have not been Ok in Canada with the same products. My body knew how to deal with plant toxins in Italy, because these toxins had been the same for ever and we peasants had evolved to deal safely with local plant toxins. But now the same plants are being egineered continually to have more and stronger toxins ... and our bodies do not know how to deal with these new toxins. So plants are now more resistant to weeds and pests ... but they are now also more resistant to us. Products such as fruits, vegetables, potatoes look beautiful and perfect on the grocery shelves ... but, very likely, they are also more perfectly able to poison us.4. I came across more books on the Warburg Effect (41,42,43,44). It is evident that Dr. Otto Warburg's research and findings have been closeted for many years. However some scientists today are actively applying Warburg's finding to cure cancer. One such scientist is Dr. Thomas N. Seyfried (43). Consistent with Warburgs findings, Dr. Seyfried, and others, maintains that Cancer is a metabolic disease which implies that diet is very important to cure cancer. It is of interest to note that nowadays the "standard of care" for cancer assumes that cancer is a genetic disease which justifies the use of chemotherapeutic poisons to kill cancer cells. Results from Dr. Seyfried work and others, have established that, consistent with the Warburg Effect, Ketogenic and Carnivore diets are very effective to cure Cancer. The Carnivore diet, although may be too "spartan" for some, is best because provides only ketones as a source of energy which cancer cells cannot survive on. And , by any meter, a Carnivore diet is infinitely better than chemotherapy! An those that voice concerns regarding the safety of Ketogenic or Carnivore diets, they need to be reminded that a number of societies, such as the Eskimos, always existed eating exclusively meat and fish.5. My blood counts trend improved since I started the Ketogenic diet. This suggests that a Carnivore diet should work even better because it supplies zero glucose for the cancer cells to feed on.
Based on the above, on April 11, 2024, I started on the Carnivore diet described in Table D3 below. So far, so good! My sense of well being and energy levels are even better than before, and my abdominal discomforts have disappeared !!!
