The "Need Imperative" states the following:
Humans, as individuals or institutions, are driven by selfish and competitive stone age survival instincts to engage continually in activities to meet their survival needs or to secure the means by which their survival needs can be met, without regard to whether these activities are fair, ethical, moral, or lawful.
