My latest blood test said my cholesterol was very high and my doctor recommended some medicine for it. I said "no" to his recommendation and he said "what are you going to do?" I said I ate my way into this and I'm going to eat my way out of it.

Results of Blood Tests

The results of my blood tests are shown in Figure 1 below. This figure shows that the counts for WBC (White Blood Cells), Platelets, and Lymphocytes are outside of the "normal range" but not excessively. It also shows is that the counts have not become significantly worse. Interestingly, because of the ketogenic diet that I have been on since August 2023, the last test (see Figure 1 below) showed that the blood counts have been trending towards better values. Could it be that the ketogenic diet is infact anti-cancer? I'll stick with it a bit longer and see if this good trend continues.
Most of us are likely familiar with White Blood Cells (WBC) and Platelets, but maybe "Lymphocytes" is a new word for most of us. There are two main types of lymphocytes: B cells and T cells.
The B cells produce antibodies that are used to attack invading bacteria, viruses, and toxins. Accordingly, B cells attack invaders (pathogens: microscopic organisms, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites that can cause diseases ) outsided of the cells.
The T cells destroy the body's own cells that have themselves been taken over by viruses or become cancerous. Therefore, good T lymphocytes are key to the fight against Leukemia of the CLL (Chronic Lymphociytic Leukemia) type.
